Program Management Support encompasses a broad spectrum of services that are essential to the proper operation and successful achievement of milestones and goals. The USAID Story
US Agency for International Development Egypt Private Sector Commodity Import Program Support
The Private Sector Commodity Import Program (PRCIP) began in Egypt in 1986. This program currently provides from $200 to $250 million annually to finance the importation of equipment, intermediate goods and raw materials from the United States. The program achieves this by providing foreign exchange to Egyptian commercial banks that in turn provide credit to Egyptian importers. The program is an integral component of USAID/Egypt's development strategy, which encourages greater use of private sector mechanisms to deliver U.S. economic assistance resources.
TPA supports this program with a broad spectrum of services including information technology support for a web site and transactions database, audit services to verify and approve the appropriateness of completed transactions, analysis and reporting services regarding program performance, records management services and administrative support.
